Arrival in Tehran. We will book your hotel from 1 night before, as the arrival is going to be early in the morning. Meeting and assistance upon arrival as our representatives welcome you and escort you to your car, that will transfer you to the hotel . It's time to relax after the flight.
Day 1. Tehran.Following a late breakfast, we will have a relaxing tour of the north of Tehran. We'll visit Saad Abad complex, Darabad museum of wildlife and colourful Tajrish Bazaar. Transfer back to hotel to get some rest before the exciting safari. After that we’ll invite you to a traditional Persian restaurant with live music. Transfer to hotel for rest.
Day 2. Tehran – Sari (252 km).Following an early breakfast, we will drive to the city of Sari through the beautiful mountainous
Day 3. Sari – Dashte Naz (30 km) – Sari.
Drive to Dasht-e Naz Nature Reserve. The region was selected and confined to keep Persian fallow deer in 1963. It is a forested area located in Mazandaran Province at an altitude of -5 m. (B, L)

The presence of relatively large diameter chestnut- leaved oak trees associated with ironwood, hornbeam and occasionally box tree understory is a reminder of Querco-Buxetum communities once covering the plain Hyrcanian forest. A great number of wood pigeons migrate to Dasht-e Naz in the fall. Eurasian collared dove, turtle dove, Eurasian woodcock, some birds of prey, Kukri snake and grass snake are among other animal species of the area. Beautiful forest landscapes, proper access roads and the presence of Persian fallow deer in the region.
Drive back to the hotel for rest.
Day 4. Sari – Miankaleh (58 km) – Sari.
Drive to Miankaleh Nature Reserve. The unique characteristics of the area led to its promotion to a wildlife refuge in 1975. Located 27 meters below sea level, this plain area has Mediterranean and temperate sub-humid climates. It is home to many unique Caspian bird and reptile species native to this region. It's also a very important internationally recognized refuge for migratory birds.

Miankaleh consists of two unique ecosystems: Miankaleh-Gorgan Bay wetland and Miankaleh peninsula. The water of the wetland is brackish and is supplied by the Caspian Sea, the permanent river of Qarehsoo and a number of other seasonal rivers. The presence of coastal sandy lands, wetlands, ponds, forest lagoons and sand dunes adjacent to each other unique feature of the area.

179 plant species and 204 migratory and native bird species have been identified in the region. The main plant species include pomegranate, medlar tree almond, hawthorn, Christ thorn, poplar, tamarisk, nettle tree, elm, horsetail, raspberry, persicaria, saltwort, sedge and reed. The most important animal species of the region are wolf, jackal, wild boar, wild cat, cape here, seal, garganey, flamingo, godwit, osprey, white-throated divar, red-crested pochard, pygmy cormorant, horned grebe, bean goose, white-fronted goose, sandpiper, squacco heron, pheasant, stone curlew, black partridge, and some fish species such as carp, roach, southern Caspian kutum, mullet, pike perch, goby, asp, eel, and Caspian vimba.
Day 5. Sari – Gonbad-e Kavus (225 km) –Golestan National Park (40 km).
Drive to Golestan National Park, en route visit Gonbad-e Kavus, a UNESCO site. Continue on to Golestan. O/N Rural house.,

Golestan National Park reaches from 1000 to 1400 m above sea level and has a variety of habitats, like temperate broad leaf forests, grasslands, shrubs and rocky areas. The fauna is very rich and consists of Persian leopards (Panthera pardus ciscaucasica), Indian wolves (Canis lupus pallipes), wild boars (Sus scrofa), maral deer (Cervus elaphus maral), roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), urial (Ovis ammon arkali), wild goats (Capra aegagrus) and goitered gazelles (Gazella subgutturosa).
Day 6. Golestan National Park.
Spend a wonderful day at Golestan national park, enjoy pure nature and watch wildlife. O/N Rural house.
Day 7. Golestan National Park – Damghan – Tehran (577 km).
Drive back to Tehran. En route visit the ancient town of Damghan. Visit Tarikhaneh Mosque, the oldest mosque in Iran, which still preserves its original shape, and Tappeh Hessar, ruins of a castle from the Sassanids. It dates back to 4000 BCE when the ,Aryans settled in the Iranian plateau. Arrival in Tehran, check-in to hotel
Day 8.Tehran. End of program. Transfer to the airport for connecting flight.
